January 5 - Hockey Night

Hello everyone!  Welcome back.  I hope you had a great holiday break.

Our first night back is a tradition for A Colony - it is Hockey night. 

It has been hockey night the first night in January for as long as I can remember (this is my 6th year), and I imagine it will be hockey night for many more years to come!

Beavers should wear thier favourite hockey jersey.  DO NOT bring any hockey sticks or pucks.

December 15 - Christmas Movie

The school is unavailable to us tonight, so we will be joining C Colony at Tiny Hoppers for a movie.  Meet at the Tiny Hopper's Clubhouse - next to Broadways.  We will be watching "Charlie Brown's Chirstmas".  Timings remain the same - 6:15 pm.

Juice and Popcorn will be served.

This will be the last meeting before the Holidays.  Our first meeting after the break will be Jan 5.

December 8 - Christmas Party

We will be celebrating Christmas this week.  Your child will make a Christmas ornament, and play some Christmas games etc.  We will be handing out a "loot bag" as a Christmas gift for your Beaver tonight.

December 5 - Christmas Parade

The theme for our Beaver's Christmas float this year will be a "Rock and Roll Christmas."  Beavers are asked to come with Santa hats and sunglasses.

The parade starts at 1:00 pm.  Meet at the Manotick Arena no later than 12:30 so we can have the kids organized on the float before we need to go.  If you can help decorate the floats, we will be there at 12:15.

Pick up your Beaver at the Manotick Arena after the parade (approximately 2:00 pm).

Dress warmly- it gets cold just sitting on a float for an hour!  (Boots and mitts recommended).
