Remembrance Day - 2012

Hey Everybody, this is from an email that was routed to A Colony. It would be treat if we could participate this year, please see below for details. I'll be organizing this more as the date approaches.

~~~~~~
1st Manotick Scouting always participates in the annual Remembrance Day service organized by the Legion in Manotick. This year November 11th is on a Sunday so there is an opportunity for all youth and leaders to take part if they wish and are available. Details are as follows:
What to Wear - Dress warmly and be prepared for the weather. If possible wear your uniform so it can be seen, if not, have your necker outside your coat - Beavers should wear their hats.
Parents are welcome to watch the parade along Manotick Main and Clapp Lane and join in the ceremony at the cenotaph.
Refreshments – we are all invited to join the rest of the groups for refreshments inside the Legion following the parade. The Legion is expecting a large number of people and have requested that once the youth have received their snacks from upstairs that they proceed to the basement, where the army cadets will be. This will allow more room upstairs for veterans and others.
