Tobogganing and Beaveree
4:20 PM Jan 15 update - see you at the hill at 6:15!
~~~~~
On January 15, we'll be having an evening of tobogganing at Four Seasons park, our neighborhood sliding hill (Limited parking available by the tennis courts). I would like to encourage all parents, and even siblings to join us - it should be a fun hour of sliding over at the hill.
Please dress warm! (Toboggans / slides will not be provided, please bring your own).
NOTE: This is a public park there may be other folks enjoying the slopes with us that evening. If the weather or slope conditions are horribly rotten, we will call it off and meet in the Gym for a regular indoor meeting instead. I'll update this blog post at 3PM on the 15th with firm direction.
Beaveree (click, for details) is on Saturday the 26th. The cost of this event is $5/Beaver, and it runs from 1 to 4PM out at the Greely Legion. I'll have a sign up sheet with us at the toboggan hill, please bring $5 so we can firm up our numbers for the event organizers. .......as per the event details, please bring a mug and a shoe-box/Kleenex box!!
Sick beaver?
Just a friendly note, it's been a crazy year for contagious illnesses. If you have not had some sort of noro-something, or gastro-whatever, or other such ailment in the past couple of months ......consider your family lucky.
Please keep your kiddo home from Beavers until they are 24 hours symptom free (We'll go ahead and borrow this policy, used by all the local schools). Missing a Beaver night to get a good night sleep on the road back to health, is never a bad idea. Thanks folks :)
